I’ve always been fascinated by how people communicate, and how badly it usually goes, especially at work. Twenty-five years ago, I started studying what makes a story great, from the structure of storytelling all the way down to slide design. That curiosity took me to Warner Bros., where I helped launch over a hundred films, and eventually to stages like SXSW and Campus Party. But the real lesson came later. After building and burning down a few businesses, after working with entrepreneurs as a coach, after watching first-hand what truly makes or breaks a person’s confidence.

I realized that trying to be confident is the perfect way to feel insecure. True confidence comes from showing up as yourself. Being willing to be vulnerable instead of hiding. Jumping head first into conflict instead of avoiding it. That’s what I help founders, leaders, and teams discover now:
